Walking/Exploring:

There are miles of award-winning beaches and beautiful countryside to enjoy in and around  Clacton on Sea with lots to explore. See the seafront walk from Holland to Jaywick featured on Google maps here. Information on Tendring walk is available here.

There are also lots of towns and villages to explore nearby; see Places to Visit.

Fishing - Sea and fresh-water:

There is a designated sea-fishing area at the end of Clacton Pier.  Day tickets are £5 and can be bought on the day from the ticket booths.

Fresh water fishing is available at Weeley, on the outskirts of Clacton.

If you would like to try something further afield, visit the Suffolk Water Park in Ipswich, 45 minutes away.

Sea Breeze offers a lockable garage which would be ideal for storage of fishing equipment.

Golf:

Clacton Golf Club is a 5 minute drive from Sea Breeze and Beach Cottage.  It welcomes day visitors who have their own golf clubs.

Sailing:

For those of you who like to sail and own a boat, there are several very attractice places to sail to/from in the area, including Brightlingsea, Walton Backwaters, Wivenhoe and West Mersea.  Sea Breeze has space for three vehicles parked along the lefrt side of the property which would accommodate a boat that is no wider than a car.  In addition, a lockable garage is available for storage.

Gym, Tennis and Swimming:

Facilities available at Clacton Leisure Centre, a very short walk from Sea Breeze.

Language Schools:

Available at Colchester, 20 minutes by train or by car.
